For more than 150 years, Metropolitan Family Services has responded to the expanding and critical needs of Chicago’s families. Operating seven centers in communities with underserved families, Metropolitan provides the help and hope needed to encourage and empower families.
To best serve families, Metropolitan focuses on community. This focus allows us to adapt to the constantly evolving issues families face. Our community centers, located in Chicago and the suburbs, offer open, inviting spaces for adults and children to receive services.
When families visit Metropolitan, they can expect expertise and compassion from our credentialed staff members. We offer bilingual staff fluent in Spanish, Polish and Arabic in communities where these services are needed.
Our Center Community Boards also are vital to each center’s success. Members include residents and leaders of local businesses and nonprofit organizations whose support helps make families and communities strong.
