Barbara West Stone
Chief Development Officer
Barbara West Stone joined Metropolitan Family Services in December 2014 in the newly created position of Campaign Director for Metropolitan’s bold $25 million Campaign to Mpower Families. At the close of the 2nd year of the 4-year campaign, more than $13 million has been raised (52 percent of goal).

Barb’s expertise in Board development, individual, corporate and foundation support, helped lead to the successful accomplishment of UCAN’s $41 million campaign, establishing community roots and agency headquarters in North Lawndale.
With decades of development and fundraising expertise beginning at the Art Institute of Chicago, her range of specialties include program development, client and donor relationship management, large and small scale event planning, fundraising, project management, marketing activities and board development. She has shown exceptional skill with annual, major and campaign strategy and execution.
A graduate from Southern Methodist University, Barbara also has a degree from CHHSM’s (Council for Health and Human Service Ministries, United Church of Christ) Nollau Institute (2011-2012) and is a Diakonal Minister. She served for many years as a member of the Woman’s Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and is a Trustee to a $100 million national private foundation.
