Welcome to Julia, our new Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator!

We welcome our new (and very first) full time Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, Julia Forte!

Julia will oversee all of Metropolitan Family Services’ volunteer events, including corporate volunteerism, reoccurring, and one-time events.

Julia comes to us with a background in community organizing and philanthropy, which includes initiating a youth mentorship/leadership program that returns unused or gently used school supplies and uniforms to families in need. Over the past six years, this program has touched thousands of families in South Berwyn.

Julia has also served as an elected member of School District 100 Board of Education, always amplifying the voices of students, family, and community members that are traditionally most underserved.

She has served adults with intellectual disabilities, senior citizens, homeless transgender teens and other vulnerable populations, and generally is a fierce advocate for those who don’t often have a “seat at the table.”

Additionally, Julia has been a small business owner, a multi-sport athlete, and is a proud mother of twins. She is very excited to engage our communities through the empowerment of volunteering.
