“Summer Boot Camp” Mpowers Community Schools Resource Coordinators

Our Community Schools program brought together Resource Coordinators from across the agency for a four-day Resource Coordinator Summer Boot Camp professional development series at our Midway Center.

Over the four days, program staff discussed multiple aspects of their work and brought in team members from different Metropolitan departments and partners including ACT Now, Human Resources, Accounting, and Quality & Outcomes. Content modules were also taught by fellow Resource Coordinators.

Dr. Shatá Robinson, Asst. Professor from The University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration capped off the series with a moving presentation/discussion. Other guests included prospective vendors and representatives from CPS’ Community Schools Initiative department.
