Mpower the Night Raises $1.2 Million for Metropolitan Family Services
This year’s Mpower the Night – 2015 Holiday Celebration, held Saturday, November 14 at the Fairmont Chicago, raised $1.2 million to support Metropolitan Family Services’ programs and services.
Nearly 600 guests attended the bash, emceed by Ravi Baichwal, Co-Anchor of “ABC 7 Weekend News.” Retired Northern Trust Company executive and longtime Metropolitan Board Member John McClure and the McClure family were honored for their dedication and generosity in supporting Metropolitan Family Services’ mission of Mpowering families.
Guests raised awareness and shared the fun-filled night by tweeting photos and event detail with the hashtag #MpowertheNight. Chicago-based composer and artist, Benjamin Montalbano, welcomed guests to the reception with jazz piano, while Enough Said, a Maggie Speaks Band, kept the celebration going after the program with music that led guests to the dance floor. The night also included auction wins including trips to Mexico and a wine raffle of select vintages culminating in a grand prize of 50 bottles.
Metropolitan Family Services thanks Event Chair Mike Vardas, the Host Committee, all sponsors and guests for making this fundraising event possible! Visit metrofamily.org for more and view pictures here.
