Metropolitan Family Services names new members to its Board of Directors

CHICAGO (November 13, 2018) – Metropolitan Family Services welcomes three new members to its Board of Directors. All active in philanthropy and community engagement, Aleck Matambo, of McKinsey & Company; Bryan Rozum, of Ares Credit Group; and Kamiar Vossoughi, of BMO Harris; will also contribute experience in fields including business, finance, and operational strategy.

The Board of Directors provides critical support in Metropolitan’s mission to empower children and families to learn, to earn, to heal and to thrive; last year Metropolitan served more than 79,800 clients across Chicagoland.

Aleck Matambo is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company based in Chicago.

He has been recognized as being one of the UK’s top 20 REACH national role models and also received a community award by HRH Prince Charles for “inspiring & motivating disadvantaged youth” through his work on MERLIN. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA) and a member of British Mensa. He grew up in London but also lived in Sweden, Holland, Zimbabwe and South Africa, and is currently moving his family from the latter.

Bryan Rozum is a Principal in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on the group’s Commercial Finance platform. Prior to joining Ares in 2017, Bryan was a Director at CapX Partners, where he was responsible for business development and underwriting in the Midwest. Previously, he served as a Loan Officer within the commercial lending division at The PrivateBank.

Bryan was introduced to Metropolitan by his father-in-law and former Board Chair and Board Member Robb Knuepfer, and has been a member of Metropolitan’s Metro Board for young professionals since 2006, having served as Recruitment Chair, Vice Chair and Board Chair. In 2017, he also served as co-chair of the Raffle Ticket Committee for the Mpower the Night event. His wife, Lauren, also was a Metro Board member. He, Lauren and their children live in Hinsdale.

Kamiar Vossoughi currently leads the BMO Private Banking Team in Hinsdale. He is responsible for directing all Wealth Management activities related to new business production, personnel, marketing, business planning, profitability, loans, deposits and financial planning including oversight of actively managed investment accounts.

Kamiar oversees a team of professionals dedicated to providing high net worth individuals, families and organizations, including closely-held and family-owned business, endowments and foundations, with a full range of wealth services as part of an overall personal wealth management strategy.

Kamiar is a nineteen-year banking veteran and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charter holder and a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. He received an MBA with Distinction from DePaul University and his BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
