NBC5’s Dr. Sandy Goldberg to Emcee DuPage Gala Friday

Dr. Sandy Goldberg, special contributor to NBC5 News and host of the series “Food for Thought,” will emcee the 13th Annual DuPage Gala Friday, May 2. The formal evening features delicious cuisine, live music by Strings of Silk, a Champagne and Martini jewelry raffle, a wine raffle, and live and silent auctions. All proceeds benefit Metropolitan DuPage.

About the Emcee

Goldberg is a clinical nutritionist specializing in nutrition counseling and the treatment of eating disorders. She volunteers for the numerous organizations and is a member of several boards, including the American Cancer Society’s Downtown Leadership Board and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

As Founder and Chairman of A Silver Lining Foundation, her mission is to ensure socioeconomic status does not impact an individual’s ability to obtain cancer resource information, quality of life services and the ability to obtain timely, cost-free mammography. (www.asilverliningfoundation.org)

At the Gala, community leaders Alexander “Sandy” and Rinda Allison will be presented with the Roger K. Johnson Award in honor of their many years of service to families and communities served by Metropolitan DuPage.
