Young Professionals Gather for a Night That Touches Thousands of Lives
Start the summer with a night that touches thousands of lives! More than 400 young professionals are expected to gather for metropolis, a summer bash and fundraiser taking place Friday, June 4, 2010 at Galleria Marchetti, 825 W. Erie. Tickets are $85 and can be purchased by clicking here.
The event, presented by Metropolitan Family Services’ Metro Board, will feature a sizzling evening of dancing, cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and raffle items including a weekend trip to Napa Valley and an ipad. The 2010 metropolis Committee Chair is Metro Board Member Lauren Knuepfer of LK Events, LLC.
Event proceeds will help children and families in Chicago through Metropolitan’s child abuse prevention programs, which provide teens and children with critical education, counseling, and safety planning resources to build healthy futures. Funds also will benefit Metropolitan’s Legal Aid Bureau, which provides legal representation to more than 7,500 clients each year on issues such as domestic violence and family law.
Last year metropolis raised more than $130,000 supporting these programs. For tickets and sponsorship information, click here.
