Week of the Young Child: Midway Learning & Wellness Center hosts a Health Fair
As part of our Midway Learning & Wellness Center’s Week of the Young Child activities, families learned about their health and the various services available in their community.
Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures initiative provided free dental screenings and oral care kits, while Near North Komed Holman Health provided blood pressure testing and Affordable Care Act enrollment, as well as nutrition and health information.
Thank you to our participating partner organizations, all of which were on hand to educate attendees on the services they provide:
- Growing Home, Inc
- UIC – Specialized Care for Children
- Illinois Eye Institute
- Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities
- Imagine Englewood If
- Plant Chicago
