Metropolitan spreads the holiday cheer in 2017

Thank you to everyone who helped make the holidays special for our communities. Across our organization, we celebrated the season with events, donations, and community recognition.

Metropolitan’s Holiday Gift Program has been a success!

To kick off the holiday season, our ABLAS & Metro boards co-hosted a Toy Drive in support of our Holiday Gift Program. We appreciate the support of the board members who attended, and Monk’s Pub for hosting!

The CTA Holiday Train delivered enough meals to feed 33 families for our North Center and Calumet Center! Big thank you to CTA for donating baskets of food.

Hundreds of our families will enjoy full holiday meals this year courtesy of MillerCoors! As part of its Holiday Meal Program, MillerCoors donated meals complete with turkey and sides for our DuPage, North, and Calumet Centers.

Our North Center Holiday Party featured games, face painting, gifts – and plenty of holiday cheer! Thank you to Board of Directors member Merle Cohen for hosting.

To celebrate the holidays and its anniversary, our Midway Center held a 2017 Holiday Luncheon recognizing members of our community. Thank you to all our honorees for their outstanding service, and to the Kennedy High School band for providing the music!

At the Southeast Center, a group of men rang in the holidays with a graduation ceremony for our Gerst Family Young Fathers program! The event was a rousing success with the awarding of certificates to the new Young Fathers.

The General Office holiday party featured a White Elephant gift exchange, a holiday sweater contest, and a cubicle decorating competition!
