Crisis intervention workshops for mental health professionals
Human services professionals are invited to expand their crisis intervention skills in an upcoming workshop titled “Handling Emergencies: Behavioral De-escalation and Crisis Intervention.” CEUs will be available.
Participants will learn basic crisis intervention skills, behavioral de-escalation strategies, and assessment for concerns that go beyond group-based youth development planning.
The workshop will be offered twice:
Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Metropolitan Midway center
3843 W. 63rd Street, Chicago
Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Metropolitan Calumet center
235 E. 103rd St., Chicago
Free for Metropolitan Family Services staff, and $10 for external providers.
