More than 200 youth participated in our Calumet Center’s Summer Youth Employment Program!
This program offers employment opportunities with Metropolitan community partners, including hands-on experience, on-the-job training, and mentorship.
Youth participated in capstone projects (and designed t-shirts) to innovatively tackle specific barriers and impacted areas in their community, such as Beautification, Creativity, Social Justice, Community Engagement, Food Literacy and Teen Leadership.
Carrie Pullie, Calumet Center Executive Director, shares, “MFS is committed to investing in youth ages 16-24 to provide access to summer employment opportunities to ensure they are prepared for their upcoming careers!”
