She oversees MFSD Community Board development and management, revenue generation, and the stewardship of public and private funders.
McGuire joined MFSD after nearly a decade with YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, where she served as Senior Director of Family & Community Services. There she was a member of the Executive Leadership Team, leading the organization’s largest division and budget. McGuire was responsible for overseeing Head Start/Early Head Start programming for 18 centers in four counties. She led numerous internal and external teams, the latter across DuPage and Suburban Cook Counties, including the Willowbrook Community Early Childhood Collaboration. In addition, McGuire stewarded relationships with federal, state, city and private funders, and advanced cross-county systems collaboration with schools and municipalities.
Prior to holding that position, McGuire served as the YWCA’s Director of Child & Family Development – Strong Families. She managed four home visiting programs serving children birth–17; directed federal, state and private budgets; led fundraising and grant writing; supervised multidisciplinary teams; and led community outreach.
Before joining the YWCA McGuire served as Executive Director of Project HELP DuPage. In that role she led all operations serving thousands of underserved families. Her accomplishments included increasing the organization’s program budget by 900% and expanding direct services from 5 to 1,500+ children annually. She also led the merger of Project HELP with YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. In 2018, McGuire was recognized as Nonprofit Executive of the Year by DuPage County.
McGuire’s professional experience also includes having served in leadership roles with the DuPage County Regional Office of Education and Adoption World.
She serves on numerous DuPage County planning and service development committees, and she is a lifelong DuPage County resident.
