LovePurse drive supports survivors of domestic violence in our Midway communities

Our Midway Center Community Board’s Love Purse drive for survivors of domestic violence recently got a helping hand from a few special supporters: Board Member Griselda Piedra’s kids and their friends worked together to contribute 35 purses full of essentials and encouraging notes!

This team of young people raised the money, shopped for the items and stuffed the purses themselves.

Abraham, Benito and Ian are childhood friends and juniors at St. Rita; they turned the purse drive into a community service event to give back to the community. Emily and Joaquin are 8th graders at St. Procopius Elementary and wanted to join the effort.
