Why companies buy an EAP

Why companies choose EAN

Workplace & EAN — Helping your employees cope with life's challenges.

Employees today face great challenges balancing their professional and personal lives. This tenuous balance can easily be disrupted when personal concerns or crises arise such as caring for an elderly relative, managing an out-of-control child, or struggling with the financial and emotional strain of a divorce. At times, these challenges may overwhelm an employee, infringing upon his or her ability to perform well at work. As a result, the employee loses peace of mind, while the employer loses productivity. This is when an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can make a difference.

The Employee Assistance Network provides assessment, counseling, and referrals for employees and their families who may need help getting through difficult times. It's a "win" for employees because they get free professional counseling. And it's a "win" for employers because they are able to provide their employees with a pathway for overcoming the challenges that are hurting them, both personally and professionally.

For more information about Employee Assistance Network, call: (312) 986-4249 or e-mail us at drakec@metrofamily.org.
