"...and justice for all." This basic belief inspires Metropolitan Family Services' Legal Aid Bureau to defend our most vulnerable citizens by providing equal access to justice for everyone, regardless of income.
The Legal Aid Bureau (LAB) offers legal representation and assistance in domestic violence, family law, consumer and housing issues, elder abuse and financial exploitation. LAB offers workshops that help inform community residents about their legal rights.
In addition to providing legal representation and education, LAB also works with various partners including Metropolitan Family Services' Public Policy department, local and state bar associations, domestic violence service providers and local court administrators to advocate for better laws and a system that is more responsive to its clients and to low-income families.
