The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) includes financial consultation to meet the needs of all employees and their family members. Financial counseling is available to help in times of difficulty and also to plan for the future. Consultation services are available in person and by phone for:

BUDGETING

These are challenging financial times. Changes in income, expenses, financial goals, or a desire to learn to manage your money more effectively, require developing and maintaining a personal budget. EAP financial counselors can help develop a budget and spending plan that works best.

CREDIT COUNSELING

Having a strong credit rating is important in many areas of a person’s financial life. EAP financial counselors can help employees understand their credit rating and offer education on strategies to improve their credit score.

DEBT MANAGEMENT

It is not uncommon for employees to try to manage debt, yet feel they are not making any personal gains. Our financial counselors can help employees to understand debt and provide guidance for becoming debt free.

DEBT CONSOLIDATION

If creditors are calling, our financial counselors can often help employees to cope effectively. The counselors provide education about debt consolidation and can help decide if it is the right choice. In many instances they can communicate with the creditors, facilitate lower payments and guide employees out of debt.

BANKRUPTCY COUNSELING

Employees considering filing for bankruptcy can call the EAP for financial counseling.  The counselors can provide education about bankruptcy, help employees consider other options available and help decide the most appropriate action.
