Metropolitan Family Services

Planned Giving and Charitable Annuities

To honor the individuals and families whose endowment and estate gifts form a permanent legacy at Metropolitan Family Services, we have established the Family Trust. We invite your family to join with others as members of the Family Trust of Metropolitan Family Services by choosing one of the following options:

  • Make a cash donation to the endowment of Metropolitan Family Services.
  • Include Metropolitan Family Services in your will or living trust.
  • Name Metropolitan Family Services as a beneficiary of:

A charitable gift annuity — A gift of $5,000 or more will provide lifetime income for up to two individuals. Annuity rates range from around 7% for an annuitant 65 years of age to 12% for those 90 years or older.

A Charitable Remainder or Lead Trust — A Remainder Trust provides lifetime income to individuals of your choice now, and the remainder passes to Metropolitan in the future. The Lead Trust supports Metropolitan now and the remainder goes to loved ones.

Life insurance policy — Name Metropolitan Family Services the beneficiary of a life insurance policy you no longer need.

  • Make other estate provisions according to your own specifications. An apartment, home or farm makes a wonderful estate gift. You retain its use and enjoyment during your lifetime. At your death, it passes to Metropolitan Family Services.
  • Recommend us to your family foundation. Express to your family and foundation trustees your wish to support Metropolitan Family Services after your death.

For more information on these or any other options, contact us at irvinlu@metrofamily.org.
