Metropolitan Hosts Real Men Moving Forward II

Metropolitan along with Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, Chicago Commission on Human Relations, Healthcare Consortium of Illinois, Nehemiah Restoration Coalition, Olive-Harvey College, Youth 1st Counseling, Roseland Community Hospital, Senator Emil Jones III present Breaking Barriers: Real Men Moving Forward II! Breaking Barriers is a day of workshops and seminars for African American boys and young men (ages 10 to 17) that help them build strength and empower themselves to enrich their lives. Click here to find out how to volunteer at the event, click here to be find out how to be a mentor. Chicago’s Mayor Richard M. Daley has proclaimed the week of April 19-23, 2010, Childhood Exposure to Violence (CEV) Prevention Week.
